Anika Noni is an American actress and vocalist. Most famously, she is the vocalist of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog The one and only African American Disney Princess. The year 2011, Rose was recognised as one of the Disney Legend. Rose was in the role of Lorrell Robinson in the Oscar Award-winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born June 6, 1972) is an American actress and singer. Most famously, she is known for portraying Tiana Disney's first princess of African descent in The Princess and the Frog (2009). In 2011 she was honored as an Disney Legend. The actress is also famous for her role in the lead role of Lorrell Robinson on the Oscar-winning film Dreamgirls (2006) and also for being the character her character LaVerne JUKEBOX Ganner on The Starz show Power. She has also been recognized for her performances in the theatre, which include her lead role as Caroline or Change Caroline or Change (2004) on Broadway for which the Tony Award was won for Best actor in the Musical.
